The Biennial of Bulgarian Illustration is one of the most beloved and highly anticipated events in the local creative community. Held once every two years, it brings together Bulgarian artists from both within the country and abroad. A professional jury has the challenging task of selecting the best of contemporary Bulgarian illustration. This year’s exhibition featured 416 artworks by 194 artists.

The official opening took place on November 26, 2024, at 6:00 PM in the Triangular Tower of Serdica hall, and the exhibition was open to visitors until January 31, 2025. All selected works and their authors were also beautifully compiled into a printed catalog, preserving and honoring their contributions.

I’m truly happy and proud to share that two of my illustrations were selected for this year’s Biennial—“Silent Night” and “Childhood”. This is a dream come true for me. I pour my heart into every piece I create, and I’m incredibly grateful that my work was noticed and appreciated. You can see both selected artworks below.

Events like this allow Bulgarian art to reach a wider audience and gain the recognition it deserves. A big thank you to the organizers for the enormous effort they put into making such a bold and inspiring initiative possible—selecting hundreds of artworks, curating the exhibition, and assembling a printed catalog.
