Spring break was even more exciting this year thanks to the new digital drawing course held at the Center for Student Technical and Scientific Creativity, where I had the pleasure of teaching. The theme was “My Digital Fantasy Character”, and the course took place over five days, from March 31st to April 4th, 2025.

I’m incredibly grateful for the overwhelming interest in the course, which led us to open more groups than we had originally planned. During our sessions, the children created unique characters, walking the full creative path from the initial idea and sketch to a finished digital illustration. In a fun and engaging way, they learned how to bring their characters to life using color, shape, expression, and clothing to express personality.

We experimented with different digital brushes and techniques, and we explored how color choices affect the mood of an artwork and how to build a world around the character.

A heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful and talented kids who joined me on this creative adventure! These five days were filled with drawing, imagination, and new skills—and we even ended up sketching a few magical wands along the way!
